Whilst the site is far from finished, we’re back up and running on a framework which seems to work. This new system lets you buy just the clip/s you want which seems like a better/fairer model, especially as we weren’t able to post regularly enough to warrant a membership approach really. We’re still figuring out the pricing so it may well go up once we look at it closer.
Also now we are no longer using a credit card processor, we’re using an open-source bitcoin checkout on top of a customised woocommerce which only collects minimal info from you (nickname, email address) and only accepts payments in bitcoin. If we don’t have your data we can’t lose it or get hacked for it.
Whilst bitcoin isn’t anywhere near as anonymous as most people would like to think, it’s a lot better than credit cards already, and if you can operate paypal you can operate coinbase.com too. In the USA particularly there are now several options to easily buy Bitcoin (e.g. cashapp). We can post more on this subject if there’s interest. Either way it’s the future and it’s now.
When you run an adult site whils tthere’s hosting rules and local laws and the laws of the country it’s being viewed from etc, there’s really only one law which matters to the website operator – and that’s the visa/mastercard law aka the “BRAM bad word list”, namely the terms which will cause visa/mc to shut you down. Local laws barely ever even come into play, it’s always the rules of the payment provider which are the first to disapprove of particular content.
Well the nice thing is our checkout plugin interacts as directly as possible to the Bitcoin network and has no middleman, so our new payment provider is literally The Bitcoin Network and baby she gives exactly 0.000000000 fucks whether we mention the word “smothering” or whatever.
You’ve seen it on C4S and other places I’m sure.. no this or that and you can’t call it intox or forced-bi even if it’s in a consensual-non-consent sorta way. If you’re reading this I’m sure you *know* what I mean.
Well that sorta works out for us since we don’t have that limit, which is a bit of what one would call a “value add” in marketing terms.
Obviously we still need to comply with the laws of our hosting provider and their local laws but that’s actually a much wider remit than would be allowed by visa/mc. Which means we can play harder and dirtier than any site (legitimately) accepting credit card payments..
Once you have your card registered with coinbase you can buy bitcoin as easily as you would load your paypal account, plus “i just bought some “bitcoin” is perfect cover on the credit card statement for those with nosy partners 😉
This was sorta the purpose of the redesign and where we’re at currently. We’ll be adding to things like the Domme profiles” as stuff gets transferred over from the old database. If this works out there may even be some new content from Dom Sara and possibly others. We definitely hope so.
